Transforming your new build garden; all the inspiration you could need

When you buy an older home you won’t always resonate with the existing style, so complete renovations are all too common. One of the many perks of buying a brand new home is the blank canvas to make your own, and that goes for gardens too.

At Llanmoor Homes, our buyers have shown just how creative you can get with your new build gardens. From Love Island-inspired lounge areas to family-friendly green spaces, here are some of our favourite Llanmoor gardens to inspire you.

Now that’s what I call luxury!

If you’ve seen ITV’s hit dating show, Love Island, you’ll be familiar with the stunning styling of Casa Amor; a gorgeous outdoor space to relax.

First-time buyers, Becki and Ian, of @ourjourneymrandmrs moved into their Llanmoor home in March of 2021, and have since transformed their garden into a luxury lounging area complete with a neon illuminated sign, symmetrical plants, and gorgeous outdoor wicker furniture.

“Renovations took forever! We started it [the garden] in July Last Year and we had every delay possible; Covid-19, Brexit, and team sickness all played a huge part which resulted in us changing our plans and picking different options, but the garden is totally worth it and we’ve hosted our first Garden Party already!”

It’s all in the details

When it comes to designing your new garden, it can be difficult to choose whether you want to keep it green or opt for the tiled patio option. Sharon and Rob of @home_on_hawtinmeadows achieved the perfect balance of green and tile when creating their tiered garden, featuring flower beds in between the patio and grass area to break up the contrast.

Their garden is fitted out with lots of plants, a stunning slatted screen fence, a large sun umbrella, and gorgeous curved outdoor furniture to go with the curved brick wall. Plus, they used lots of local suppliers to get it done. Their hard work certainly paid off!

A perfect pergola for relaxing in the sunshine

@thehomeprescription created a luxurious space to relax in their Margam home, featuring fairy lights, spacious outdoor furniture, and decorative plants. Their garden also boasts a greenhouse where they grow flowers and vegetables including sunflowers and spring onions.

A wicker dining table and umbrella is perfectly suited to the family’s spacious patio area and creates an excellent space for evening BBQ’s and entertaining.

The green green grass of home

First-time buyers, Abby and Rhys of @our.first.home.journey.no35, completed on their three-bedroom, semi-detached ‘Ogmore’ Llanmoor Home in May of 2021, and have kept their 800 followers updated with changes along the way.

After enjoying their new home for a year, the couple decided to extend their patio and create a green grass space in time for the summer.

Their ‘Ogmore’ home has a large garden, which they rotavated and re-turfed with natural grass. This created a striking green space perfect for spending the summer evenings with friends and family.

In addition to extending their existing patio, the couple added a personalised finishing touch by changing the decorative stones to slate chippings.

“We can’t wait to spend summer days and evenings out here”

Abby and Rhys, @our.first.home.journey.no35
