“Our experience was very smooth”; using the Help to Buy scheme to purchase your Llanmoor Home

What is the Help to Buy – Wales Scheme?
The Help to Buy – Wales initiative is available for first homes with a value of up to £250,000. To use the scheme, buyers must provide a 5% deposit and equity loans are available for between 10-20%. Buyers must then take out a repayment mortgage to cover the remaining cost. This all might sound confusing, but it’s a great scheme for first-time buyers to take advantage of. Let’s show you an example…
- If the value of the house is £200,000, you pay a 5% deposit of £10,000.
- You then take a mortgage out to cover 75% of the amount, which is £150,000.
- The remaining cost is £40,000 (20%), which must be taken out as a shared equity loan.
Phase 3 of Help to Buy in Wales will be available from April 2021 until March 2023.
“We could see ourselves living at this site one day”
When we asked Lauren what made her buy a Llanmoor Home, she explained, “We first came across Llanmoor Homes after a holiday in December 2019 when we came to look at the show homes as we passed by. We were in no position to purchase our first home at that time, however we fell in love with the development at Hawtin Meadows”. After being given information from our wonderful sales team, Lauren went on to say that, “before we knew it, we were looking at this paper work daily and knew we could see ourselves living at this site one day”.

As this was Lauren’s first time buying a home, she took advantage of the Help to Buy – Wales initiative. “Our experience using the scheme was very smooth”, said Lauren when we asked how she found the process.

It’s a great location to local villages and main road access, as well as suiting our personal circumstances”.

The Nash is absolutely perfect for us”.
Lauren went on to describe the features of The Nash that caught her eye, “It has an amazing look to the exterior but the inside is what sells it for us. We loved the spacious kitchen diner and separate living room. We have 3 great sized bedrooms, a downstairs toilet and an en-suite”.
