LABC success for Llanmoor”s Dave Hodges

An employee of family run housebuilder Llanmoor Homes has recently won a prestigious LABC Award.

Dave Hodges, Site Manager at Llanmoor’s Gerddi Pentref development, has won Best Site Supervisor at the LABC Cymru Building Excellence Awards for the Bridgend area. Dave was presented with his award at a ceremony on 27th February.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards reward high-quality construction and recognise design teams who have overcome technical issues by developing innovative and creative solutions. Best Site Supervisor goes to an employee who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure an outstanding working relationship with the local authority.

Llanmoor celebrate show home launch at Bethesda Field

Llanmoor Homes are celebrating after a very busy opening weekend for the ‘Llanmaes’ show home at their Bethesda Field development in Rogerstone.

The Llanmaes, which opened this month, is a generous four bedroom family home which features 3 double bedrooms and an ensuite master. This stylish show home also offers a spacious kitchen diner with useful separate utility. The bespoke feature ash framed glass wall in the large family lounge adds a unique charm to the property since it is something that no other housebuilder currently offers.

Llanmoor supports Ely Valley JFC

Welsh house builder Llanmoor Homes has recently announced that they will be renewing their sponsorship of Ely Valley Football Club.

Llanmoor Homes last year donated £1000 towards the kit of the Under 18s team and this year the family-run business has agreed to sponsor brand new team kit and training tops for the first ever Under 16s team. Ely Valley JFC’s new shirts will now feature Llanmoor’s distinctive logo as a show of gratitude for Llanmoor’s continuing support.

Llanmoor Homes welcomes Stamp Tax Duty Reforms

Welsh housebuilder Llanmoor Homes has welcomed the announcement by George Osbourne at the recent autumn statement that there would be significant changes to the stamp duty tax regime.

George Osbourne revealed that under the new regime, stamp duty rates will be graduated in a similar way to income tax rates. The new rates will only apply to that proportion of the property price that falls within each banding, rather than on the whole house price. There will no longer be the huge jumps in stamp duty liability between house price bands.

Under the new regime, no tax will be paid on the first £125,000 of a property, followed by 2% on the portion up to £250,000, 5% on the portion between £250,000 and £925,000, 10% up to £1.5 million and 12% on everything over that.

Llanmoor Homes supports Rogerstone Rugby Club

Welsh house builder Llanmoor Homes has recently donated high-quality topsoil to Rogerstone Rugby Club to support the clubs much-needed renovation of their pitch. Llanmoor recently arranged for 10 twenty tonne loads of topsoil to be transported from their nearby Bethesda Field development to the club.

Rogerstone RFC was founded in 1973 by former pupils of Bassaleg Grammar School but was disbanded in 1996 due to a number of lead players leaving the club to play professional rugby. The club was then reformed in 2005 in consequence to an increase of housing developments in the Rogerstone area which saw demand rise for the rugby club to be re-established.

Last chance to buy at Llanmoor’s Cefn Cadno

Welsh house builder Llanmoor Homes has announced the last remaining properties at its popular Cefn Cadno development in Llanharan.

Cefn Cadno is now entering the final phase of construction with only a handful of the 140 properties on the development still available for purchase. There are currently a selection of properties on release , some of which would be available for occupation before Christmas.

Among the remaining homes at Cefn Cadno is the ever popular 2-bedroom ‘Chelsea’ with prices starting at £127,995 and the 3-bedroom ‘Bayswater’ home, available from £135,995. Llanmoor releases Homestep Homes

Llanmoor Homes has recently announced the release of 3 new homes under the Rhondda Cynon Taff Homestep Scheme.

Homestep is a unique scheme which aims to address the problems faced by first time home buyers and provide an affordable option to those in a stable financial position, and who are resident or work in Rhondda Cynon Taff, yet still unable to purchase a home outright.

Under the scheme, Llanmoor sell the properties to purchasers at 70% of their market value and the council retains the other 30% ownership. The owners then have the option to purchase the balance of 30% after 12 months. These properties are only available to buyers who genuinely require the assistance of Homestep and fulfil the qualifying criteria.

Llanmoor Homes sets its sights on national building awards

Llanmoor Site Manager, Jeremy White was recently shortlisted for Best Site Supervisor of the Year at the 2014 National LABC Building Excellence Awards.

After winning the LABC Best Site Supervisor award for both Bridgend and South Wales, Jeremy continued his success and was awarded Best Site Supervisor in Wales at the LABC Cymru awards in October. Jeremy was then shortlisted for for the Best Site Supervisor Award at the LABC National Grand Finals which took place in London last month. 

Jeremy competed against 11 other Site Managers from across the UK in the hope of being awarded LABC Best Site Supervisor of the Year. Llanmoor Homes represented South Wales at the national awards as they were the only South Wales based house builder to have made it through to the Grand Finals.

Gail returns to Llanmoor Homes

Family-run house builder Llanmoor homes is delighted to welcome back Gail Windsor as the Sales Negotiator for their Gerddi Pentref development in Coity.

Gail previously worked for Llanmoor for 4 years and now returns to the Welsh house builder after over a decade away from the company.

Having worked for a number of national house builders during her time away from Llanmoor, as well as a brief spell in recruitment, Gail brings with her a wealth of experience both in customer care and sales negotiations.

Llanmoor Homes builds on success in Llanharan

Family-run house builder Llanmoor Homes has announced that they will be unveiling a brand new development, St Llid’s Meadow in Llanilid, Llanharan, building upon the success of their nearby, soon to be completed development, Cefn Cadno.
