Llantrisant-based housebuilder, Llanmoor Homes, is pleased to announce that they have recently submitted an Outline Planning Application for a residential community in the Llangyfelach district of Swansea.
The new development, to be known as Pentref Rhostir (Moorland Village), will be located just off the B449 Swansea Road in the North, and will link by a new road to Mynydd Newydd Road in the South.
The overall site covers a total area of 115 hectares and will consist of approximately 1,950 new dwellings, including affordable homes, a district centre comprising of shops and restaurants, a new primary school, a network of interlinked green spaces, equipped play areas, sports pitches and changing room facilities.
This site has been allocated for residential development in the emerging Swansea City Council Local Development Plan, which was recently approved by the Council Cabinet, and is now subject to Welsh Government scrutiny at the LDP Inquiry to be held in 2018.
Tim Grey, Sales Director of Llanmoor Homes, said: “We are thrilled to finally announce that we are, for the very first time, venturing into the Swansea area after successfully acquiring three separate pieces of land to the left of Llangyfelach.
“Subject to planning approval, this scheme will be our largest development to date and will considerably help the Welsh Government in achieving its housing targets. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with Swansea council and hope to play a pivotal role in the regeneration of the city.”
