Llanmoor Homes shows its support for Crawshay”s Welsh Rugby Club

Family-run housebuilder Llanmoor Homes has sponsored Crawshay’s Welsh Rugby Club for their upcoming summer tour.

Llanmoor Homes has donated £2,500 towards the Club’s summer tour that will take place in June. Crawshay’s, working in partnership with the WRU and playing under the title of Crawshay’s WRU President’s XV, will be jetting off to Georgia, where the Senior XV team will play the Georgian Under 21 Team and the National Team in Tbilisi.

Crawshay’s has a long proud history having been founded in 1922 by Captain Geoffrey Crawshay. Since then, the Club have toured all over the world and have played in France, Hong Kong, Italy, USA, Russia, South Africa and most recently the Czech Republic when they toured there last summer.

Crawshay’s are committed to supporting Welsh talent as despite being able to select their team from players around the world, they select Welsh players whenever possible. In addition to the Senior XV team, the Club also runs a Youth XV team which gives boys from all over Wales the opportunity to develop their rugby talent.

Llanmoor Homes is one of the only remaining large scale, family-owned housebuilders in South Wales. Established in 1966, Llanmoor is directed by brothers Simon, Tim and Matthew Grey from their headquarters in Talbot Green. Llanmoor currently has 7 developments across South Wales, with a new development, Waterloo Gardens at MonBank in Newport due to launch later this year.

Ian Brice, Team Manager for Crawshay’s said, “All of us here at Crawshay’s are incredibly grateful for Llanmoor’s generous donation towards our summer tour. The whole team is very excited to go to Georgia and can’t wait to play some excellent rugby.

“We depend on support from local businesses such as Llanmoor in order to take part in these tours and it gives the players a great opportunity to improve their rugby skills in a completely different setting.”

Tim Grey, Sales Director of Llanmoor Homes said: “We are delighted to support a club with such a rich history and a strong Welsh heritage. We are a family-run, Welsh business and therefore are passionate about supporting community projects and clubs such as Crawshay’s. I wish the team the best of luck for the tour ahead.”
