Llanmoor Homes encourage Bristol house-hunters to pop across the pond

With the recent news that tolls on the Severn crossing linking England to Wales are to be scrapped by the end of 2018, award-winning Welsh housebuilder Llanmoor Homes is encouraging those living in South West England to consider its Waterloo Gardens development in Newport.

Waterloo Gardens is an attractive development of 85 two, three and four bedroom homes selected from some of Llanmoor’s most popular designs. Conveniently situated on the Mon Bank development in Newport, Waterloo Gardens benefits from easy access to Newport town centre and the M4, making it an ideal location for both road and rail commuters.

Over 50% of the homes are now sold at Llanmoor’s Newport development and Tim Grey, Sales Director of Llanmoor Homes, believes the anticipated end of the Severn tolls has played a significant role in encouraging house-hunters in Bristol to start looking further afield.

Tim says: “We’re definitely seeing an increase in visitor figures at our Waterloo Gardens development. The housebuilding industry in Wales is going from strength to strength, and Newport continues to prove itself as an incredibly sought-after location for those not only looking for lower housing prices and living costs, but also those wanting to stay within a commutable distance from England.”

Despite limited availability due to the increasing demand, Llanmoor Homes has ensured it has a number of new releases in the pipeline.

Llanmoor’s four-bedroom Llancarfan house type is currently available. Boasting three double bedrooms and one single bedroom, a spacious kitchen/dining room plus the added convenience of a detached garage, the Llancarfan has plenty of room for the whole family. Also available is the popular Llandow four-bedroom detached home. Further price releases are imminent and will include the Litchard three-bedroom semi-detached home and Ferndale three-bedroom detached home.

Tim continues: “The recently completed Friars Walk retail and leisure complex is open in Newport, and other major investments are due to take place within the city, so I’d encourage house-hunters currently living in England to take a look across the pond and embrace what Wales has to offer.”

All the properties at the development are available to buy with the Help to Buy – Wales shared equity scheme. The scheme enables buyers to purchase a new build property up to the value of £300,000 with as little as a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, with the Government providing a 25 year equity loan for up to 20% of the property value.

Earlier this year Llanmoor Homes was identified in London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report and more recently won ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ at the 2017 Wales Insider Property Awards.

The sales centres and show homes at Waterloo Gardens are open Thurs-Mon between 11am to 5pm, please visit www.llanmoor-homes.com or call 07534 199107 for more information.
