Llanmoor Homes doubles turnover within three years
13-Apr-2017

Family-run housebuilder, Llanmoor Homes, is delighted to confirm that their 2016/17 financial year was their most successful to date, with a record number of sales and their highest turnover yet.
The company, which has been established for over 50 years, announced that their annual turnover for 2016/17 was £33m, a figure which has significantly increased from the £29m the company achieved in 2015/16, and more than doubled since 2013/2014.
Llanmoor Homes is one of Wales’ only remaining privately-owned housebuilders, and has built over 4,500 new homes since the company was established in 1966. Following recognition in both the 2016 LABC and NHBC awards, Llanmoor announced earlier this year that every one of their Site Managers is an award-winner, a status that further underlines the company’s dedication to building quality family homes in South Wales.
Tim Grey, Sales Director for Llanmoor Homes said: “After much concern surrounding the referendum vote and whether activity in the housing market would suffer as a result, I am extremely pleased that we have continued to increase our turnover for yet another year. The ongoing improvement to our business is testament to the hard work put in by each and every one of our members of staff, from our sales negotiators who deliver impeccable customer care right through to our on-site construction workers and site management who work tirelessly to complete homes to our high company standard.”
“With the demand for new homes continuously growing, this success has enabled us to acquire a number of sites for new residential developments on which further information will be released later in the year. It has also allowed us to confidently work with various Local Authorities and the Welsh Assembly Government to assist them in reaching their target of creating 20,000 more affordable homes during this assembly term, both for the social rental market and subsidised open market homes sold at reduced prices under Homestep or other similar Local Authority schemes.”

Of the homes Llanmoor sold and legally completed during the last year, 50% were through the Help to Buy Wales scheme. This scheme enables first time buyers and existing home owners to purchase a new build property up to the value of £300,000 with as little as a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. All of Llanmoor’s homes are currently available under the scheme.
Tim continued: “The Help to Buy Wales scheme has certainly helped the tremendous improvement to our sales and ability to deliver a significant increase in the number of homes constructed over the past few years. Of the homes we sold through Help to Buy Wales scheme last year, just under 75% were bought by first time buyers, demonstrating that the scheme is playing a crucial role in helping many young people make those first difficult steps onto the property ladder.
“Everyone here at Llanmoor is incredibly excited to see what 2017/18 will bring, and the high sales figures that we’ve experienced in the first three months so far have proved incredibly promising. As a team, we will continue to strive for excellence in all areas of our work, with our primary focus on customer care and quality of build.”
