Llanmoor help buyers take first steps onto the property ladder
Llanmoor Homes are encouraging househunters to purchase a new home through the Help to Buy Wales Shared Equity Scheme.
Since the launch of Help to Buy Wales on January 2nd, Llanmoor have made 25 home reservations under the scheme across their South Wales developments.
First time buyers Neil and Hannah recently moved into their new 3-bedroom ‘Litchard’ home at Llanmoor’s Pentre Felin development in Tondu thanks to Help to Buy Wales.
Having previously been saving for a deposit for an older property, Neil, 35 and Hannah, 30, were delighted when the introduction of Help to Buy Wales enabled them to widen ther choice to new build properties for their first home.
Neil said, “We were fully aware of the benefits of owning a new build property but before Help to Buy, a new build home of the size we wanted simply wasn’t in our price range.
“I’d done my homework, and had researched Help to Buy so I knew that I wanted to use it once it was introduced in Wales. When the time came the whole thing was really straight forward. The buying process was very simple and stress free.”
An electrician by trade, Neil had been made aware of Llanmoor Homes through his work.
Neil said, “As a local electrician, I know the quality of the homes that Llanmoor build. The quality of construction can vary significantly from house builder, but as a small, local company, I know Llanmoor to be far higher quality than many of the larger firms around.
“I can’t fault the service we’ve received from Sue and team at Pentre Felin. Everyone has been great and has made the buying process very easy for us.”
Tim Grey, Llanmoor Homes Sales Director commented: “Neil and Hannah are the first Llanmoor purchasers to legally complete under the Help to Buy Wales Shared Equity Scheme, and we are delighted that the scheme has enabled them to purchase their dream new home. Help to Buy has already generated over 25 reservations across our developments in South Wales and is going a long way to enabling those with just a 5% deposit available to purchase a new home.
“Help to Buy is proving to be particularly popular with first time buyers as 93% of our reservations have been from those making their first step onto the property ladder. At Llanmoor we have a number of 2 and 3-bedroom homes which make ideal first homes. However, Help to Buy is not only for first time buyers, but for buyers wishing to upsize as well. We also have larger 3 and 4-bedroom semi and detached homes which are perfect for growing families.”
