Llanmoor celebrates early success at Waterloo Gardens
Award-winning home builder, Llanmoor Homes, is delighted to announce that they have already achieved great success at their Waterloo Gardens development in Mon Bank, Newport. All seven homes from the first release have already been reserved and the first occupants are expected to be settled in their new home before Easter. Further releases have now been made of three and four bedroom homes.
Waterloo Gardens is an attractive development of 85 two, three and four bedroom homes hand-picked from some of Llanmoor’s most popular designs. Situated in Newport, within easy reach of the town centre and the brand new Friar’s Walk development, Waterloo Gardens is conveniently located for those needing to commute to Cardiff, Bristol and beyond.
The development is Llanmoor’s second in Newport, following on from their successful Bethesda Field development at which only two homes now remain. There have been extremely high levels of interest in the homes at Waterloo Gardens, particularly since the opening of the two show homes in January, and of the seven homes that have been reserved so far at Waterloo Gardens, five have been assisted by the Help to Buy – Wales scheme.
“We’ve seen a big difference in the numbers of people, in particular first time buyers, who are interested in buying a new build home since the introduction of Help to Buy Wales” said Tim Grey, Sales Director at Llanmoor Homes. “Where previously many first time buyers may have felt that they had to look at existing builds, more and more are now able to consider moving to new developments.”
This comes as a report released last week by the Welsh Government concluded that Help to Buy Wales has resulted in more people now being able to buy the home they want more quickly and that more people are now looking at new developments as a result of the scheme.
The report also found that, at around 12.9%, Newport has the highest percentage of Help to Buy assisted sales.
“We’ve been great supporters of Help to Buy, and it’s fantastic to see so many people coming to view the show homes who previously thought they would have to wait years to be able to buy a home” said Tim. “It’s not surprising that Newport has such a high percentage of Help to Buy sales; with the recent investment in the area including the new Friar’s Walk development, Newport is becoming a popular location for first time buyers.
“Waterloo Gardens is in a brilliant location and we’ve had lots of positive comments about the aesthetic of the development and the show homes in particular. We’re delighted that buyers seem to love it as much as we do. I would encourage anybody who is interested in either of our Newport developments to visit and see for themselves why the homes have been so popular.”
