LABC success for Llanmoor”s Dave Hodges

An employee of family run housebuilder Llanmoor Homes has recently won a prestigious LABC Award.

Dave Hodges, Site Manager at Llanmoor’s Gerddi Pentref development, has won Best Site Supervisor at the LABC Cymru Building Excellence Awards for the Bridgend area. Dave was presented with his award at a ceremony on 27th February.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards reward high-quality construction and recognise design teams who have overcome technical issues by developing innovative and creative solutions. Best Site Supervisor goes to an employee who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure an outstanding working relationship with the local authority.

Dave will now go forward to the South Wales LABC Building Excellency awards in April, and if successful will then be entered into the National LABC Excellency Awards where he will compete against other Site Managers from across the UK.

Gerddi Pentref is a development of 93, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes and forms part of the larger community of Parc Derwen. Located in Coity, in a semi-rural location on the edge of Bridgend, Parc Derwen boasts an enviable location as well as a number of local amenities including a school, sports park and retail centre.

Dave has worked for Llanmoor for nearly 9 years, having also previously worked on their Caerphilly and Tonyrefail sites. With a career in the industry that spans over 30 years, he has extensive experience of working all over England. It was while working in Yorkshire that Dave met his wife, though the couple later relocated to her home town of Barry where they currently live.

Dave said: “Without a doubt, Llanmoor is the best company I have worked for in all my years as a manager and I only wish I had found them years earlier. From director to labourer, we all feel very much part of a team who strive to achieve the best in customer satisfaction.

“The award itself comes as a great achievement to all the site team who have worked with me at Gerddi Pentref and at our previous developments.”
